Encouraging Thoughts for NaNoWriMo

We have just about hit the halfway point of NaNoWriMo. Now don’t freak out and don’t worry. I’m not at my word count goal either!

Yep, that’s right. I am miserably behind as far being on pace for 50k, but I’m okay with that. At least I’m telling myself to be okay with that. I have not even written each day, but that’s ok too. Even if our writing timelines outlast NaNoWriMo, we should still be proud of ourselves for taking on a task like this. Even as I find myself going slower, I have still found new magic in rewriting my story, asking questions that evaded me before, creating new characters, and exploring new locations. Don’t let timelines suck the magic out of your work and keep creating.
